Pursuing a modeling career is highly competitive. It takes more than just being attractive—it requires a look that commands attention. Before you get any physical representation with you prospective employer you must compose a captivating portfolio to enhance your chances.
The portfolio is like your CV or resume. It should have everything you need to make a good impression and it should be updated if your look changes significantly, as it’s important that your model portfolio represents the current you. You can create a short version portfolio that you can submit to modeling agencies, aside from the complete set or book that you’ll be bringing with you to all your interviews.

So, it’s smart to invest in the right set of headshots that will open doors for your career. Remember your headshot is your calling card and casting directors expect you to look just like your headshot. Airbrushing is limited in this shots because it´s not about looking pretty, it’s about representing your type, wrinkles included. It should look like you on your best day, showing who you are now. Keep your clothing simple and classy, don´t wear too much makeup and try to rest before the photo session to get the best of you on that day.
